Welcome to studio robot

This is the website for studio robot, a small web/design/multimedia company hailing from Perth, Western Australia. It also serves as a place for Deathbot to display images from shows and have info about shows and upcoming events. Just so you know, Deathbot is a guy from perth who makes pictures.
You may find the text on this page swapping between 'I' or 'me' and 'we' and 'us'. The reason for this is that for sometime there were two of us at studio robot, now there is only one. So some projects were completed by the two of us, some just by me. Also, for the purposes of this site, studio robot and Deathbot are both 'I'. Hope that clears things up a little.
Anyway, there are some contact details on the top right of the page, and some links to the right.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you like our work.

News

15.06.06 Deathbot gear at the King Brown Magazine launch

On Saturday the 3rd of June King Brown Magazine was officially launched. It was a great night, plenty of very nice pictures, home brewed beer and for me, a busted collarbone. Awesome.
I know there's some pictures of all the work that was there, so I'll try and find them and put them up here, in the mean time, here's some of the stuff I did.

15.05.06 Deathbot show at Keith and Lottie - Winners don't use drugs

The show has just come down. I put a link to some images of the work at the bottom right of this page. I was pleased with how it turned out. The opening night was fun, thanks to everyone who came down.
The only downer was that some guy nicked one of the pictures. I din't even have a photo. Luckily a friend of mine did. It's kind of cool that some one actually liked it enogh to steal it, but nonetheless, what a jerk.
The plan is to organise another show now. Maybe get some love from ArtsWA and get a trip over east to show it or something. See how we go.

21.12.05 red stripe clothing site redesign.

Just finished up the redsign of the red stripe clothing website. It's all new and cool.
Check it out.

5.12.05 Clause show at Keith & Lottie

There's a show on tonight featuring a whole bunch of artists from around Australia. Everyone was given two small canvases. I wasn't, but then someone got married, and being on his honeymoon couldn't get his done. So, yesterday I spent the afternoon and evening drawing robots. I'm pretty happy with the results. Everyone else did good as well. Worth checking out for sure.

30.11.05 Deathbot show at Keith & Lottie

I got a show at the Keith & Lottie gallery. It's on until sunday the 4th of december. I'll upload some photos once I've had a chance to take them.

12.10.05 Salvation Show opens...

I did some work for Salvation Show, there is some more info on the other side of the page under 'Other stuff'.

30.09.05 Oh yeah...

I'm doing a show at the Keith and Lottie gallery. I'll add the details when I get them.

29.09.05 New site!

Cool. I just made this new site. I decided yesterday afternoon it was time for a change. So, it's all done, no navigation, all one page, just some news and some stuff about a few projects. I might add some more pages actually. I'll think about it.

Work

Web

Here is a list of some of the sites made by studio robot. I like to keep things simple, and would rather not get too much into the why and why not of my/our work. Just go have a look, and if you're really interested we can get into it in another time and place.
I'll let you know if the site has functionality that you wont be able to check out for yourself. I'll add more as they go up...

Keith and Lottie website: Website for a store/gallery in Northbridge WA. Includes an online store, with web based interface, and web based mailing list application.

ARTRAGE website: Website for ARTRAGE, an arts organisation in Perth. Also has a web based interface that allows the client to edit site content, send mailouts to subscribers and track membership status.

Red Stripe Clothing website: At the moment this a pretty basic site. Simple guestbook and news functionality. Online store coming soon.

Saves Nine website: Super cool little site. It's for a local gal who makes real nice jewelry/accessories. The site has a guestbook, online store and mailing list action. Looks good too.

The Butcher Shop website: This ones the site for a little art supplies shop in Northbridge. They sell spray paint and pens and whatnot. A few cd's and magazines and shirts and stuff as well. Damn cool shop with this big old butcher's display counter and meaty ambiance. The site has an online store and a gallery where people can upload images of their work.

The Ballroom website: These guys are a group of artists operating out of a big beautiful old building on Murray St. in the city. This site is a showcase of their work. I built it so that they can update all the content themselves to keep it all fresh and relevant. Good stuff.

Bloodstar website: I just designed this one, it was another chap who put it all together. Bloodstar's a label in Perth city, run by Cat Hope. Have a look at the site to see what it's all about.

78 Records website: This is a doosie. Just finished the redesign of this one. Looks cool, a much needed revamp. Anyway, have a look.

Other stuff

Here is an assortment of print work I've done.

I've just had a show at the Keith and Lottie Gallery, it ran from the 25th of November to the 4th of December 2005. I've got a whole bunch of photos here.

And another at the Keith and Lottie Gallery, it ran from the 24th April to 12th May 2006. It was called Winners Don't Use Drugs. I have photos here.

Here's some work of mine that was at the King Brown Magazine launch.

Here's some new pictures I made. Just on some paper bags. Pretty cool.
